A topical numbing cream is applied about 45 minutes beforehand. The treatment takes 10 to 40 minutes depending on the area. You can expect carbon scabs over the treated area that fall off within 5 to 7 days. Swelling may occur for the first 3 days. Results improve by about 30 to 35% per session, with most patients needing 2 treatments. Results last approximately 5 years.
